Overview
Unifying UI and workflows across a complex B2B product.
Inmovilla is an essential tool for real estate management, but legacy UI patterns and dense screens were slowing users down. I led the modernization of the design system and key workflows to improve clarity, consistency, and speed.
THE CHALLENGE
Complexity and fragmentation
· Inconsistent UI: multiple button styles, typography, and patterns created a non-cohesive experience. · Confusing workflows: screens were overloaded, increasing navigation effort and the learning curve. · Unstructured growth: features shipped without a shared system, making the product harder to scale and maintain.
THE WORKFLOW
Rebuilding the foundation
Initial audit + design system
· Audited screens and patterns to define a consistent foundation. · Consolidated components into a modular, scalable system. · Documented guidelines in Figma/Notion to support implementation.
Workflow optimization
· Reduced noise and improved information hierarchy to lower cognitive load. · Reworked key flows to prioritize the most common tasks. · Improved onboarding for new users through clearer patterns.
Visual modernization
1. Clearer hierarchy and consistency: improved scanability and reduced UI friction. 2. Scalable UI foundation: the system supports new features without visual drift.
OUTCOMES
Improvement to users and business
· Faster completion of key tasks after workflow simplification (signal based on internal feedback) · Clearer UI patterns reduced confusion and rework during delivery · A scalable design system improved consistency across new features
LESSONS LEARNED
Challenges make you improve
1. Consistency is a feature in complex B2B tools. 2. A design system reduces rework and enables safer growth. 3. Simplifying flows and prioritizing essentials improves usability fast.
This redesign strengthened my ability to lead complex, user-centered work, balancing product constraints, stakeholder alignment, and delivery with engineering.
